Footing it for Flinders is designed to raise funds for The Flinders Centre for Innovation in Cancer which will be the first integrated cancer centre in South Australia. The new centre will be dedicated to cancer prevention and early intervention research, innovative cures and compassionate cancer care.

The overall target is to raise $100,000 to help fund The Flinders Centre for Innovation in Cancer. In doing so we hope to raise the profile of the new centre and its purpose.

20 motivated and inspiring women will take part in a 5 day trek through the Flinders Ranges. Each participant is responsible for raising $5,000 by encouraging friends, family, colleagues, clients and local businesses to sponsor them by making a donation via their Footing it for Flinders web site.

The trek will take place from 26-30 October 2009 through the northern Flinders Ranges region. The team at Groovy Grape Getaways have designed the challenging trek especially for the Footing it for Flinders team.
